They always seem cutest when they are sleeping.

It’s not often I’m allowed (even as a photojournalist) to bring my cameras into a corporate-owned store. So when I was given the ok to do so while working on a different assignment, I grabbed this shot.

So the holidays have me in the mood to post pictures of my family I guess. The ones that come in to visit or already live in the state that is. This one is of E and my mom at a local Christmas tree lighting. Side note: the tree came from Hickory N.C., stands 40 feet tall and has over one million lights on it.

Grabbed this shot of R today right as the sun was starting to set. We went to the neighbor’s yard that has a tree trunk about four feet high. This is one of the last shots I took of her and one that truly captures her personality

It’s been awhile since I’ve taken E out for pictures. He’s been hooked on Thomas the Train for a few months now so I decided to take him to the train yard. I thought it would be great; he’d love seeing the big trains and I could get awesome photos of him at the same time. It turns out that he did love seeing the big trains but was scared to death to let go of me, so it was hard to get any good shots of him – this is the best one.

Mixing a little pleasure with work this weekend - I’m on a bit of vacation during the holiday. My brother came into town with his girlfriend (always enjoy my family) and I had the two of them pose for this shot – maybe it’ll be a future Link cover…

Spending the Thanksgiving holiday with my brother, grabbed this shot of him just sitting in my living room.

These two went to elementary school together and now live in different parts of the country. They’re out playing darts in a bar the night before Thanksgiving after not seeing each other since last year’s holiday season.

I tagged along with the video crew to Hollywild Animal Park in Inman SC to cover the death of an Elephant named Donna. The zoo has large sections of land fenced off so that the animals feel more like they are in the wild and less like they are in captivity. I saw these two tigers playing and just had to grab a few shots.

Another one from the Survival series.

The Survival Guide – yup, hard at work on another cover.

I’ve had an unusually light week at work this week so I’ve taken advantage of the opportunity to catch up on some things that have been sitting on the back burning. This is another one from a trip to the pumpkin patch with E and his friends. I finally put together 30 or so to let him bring to all the parents. I don’t know how I missed this one the first go around.

That’s right – I took my son to see the Doodlebops this evening at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. He watches the DVD on repeat and it has become the soundtrack to our home. This is a shot of Rooney Doodle.

I was shooting another cover, this time at the Westin Hotel on the 9th floor, when I saw this shot and had to grab it. It's a different view of downtown Greenville.

I love these night-time, structure shots.
Just one of the 208 photos from a wedding that I am now editing.

I’ve been moving and had a car wreck all in the same week – that’s why I’ve missed some posting. However, I’m back and here we go. I’m building a metal wall for an ever-changing piece of art and I’m collecting photos for this wall. Here’s one I came across that I had forgotten about or didn’t look at hard enough the first time around.

I had to shoot country music star Brad Paisley at the Bi-Lo Center in Greenville Friday night. Here’s one of my favorite images from the show.

I’m steady working on future covers now that Link has an photo intern to relieve me of some of my other duties. This is for “Winter Coats” a style page turned front page. It was 70 degrees out side this morning while we shot this, did you know that instant potatoes look like snow when photographed?

The "Gift Guide" is coming out soon. I spent the day shooting people in the studio very much like this guy right here. I think he might have been more excited than any other I saw today.

Hard at work on another cover – this one is highlighting the style page for “What a girl wants...on her man.” Look for it to hit the streets in the next couple of weeks.

This shot came from a home story that will be running in three weeks. The owners of the house also own Bogari and sell contemporary European furniture.

In the old days they threw rice at weddings - today they through fire.

It was smaller than it looks.

I was working on another assignment today in downtown Greenville when I looked up and saw this scene. I never spoke to either of them – just grabbed my shot and continued with what I was doing.

I’m always working on a cover, just pick up a Link, I promise it’ll have a cover.
