Fishing at City Lake Park.

Grabbed this one at Morrow Mountain State Park.

Stanly-Albemarle Airport, shot it through a chain-link fence.

Wheels, tires and rust. I grabbed this shot with a friend in mind.

This is what a teenager, a three-year old and a self timer will get you.

Evan and Marua Kapadia. A long time in the waiting and we're glad you're here. Congratulations little sister.

I guess this is where you could say my job gets challenging and exciting to me. I have not had the opportunity in the past to shoot anything in the field of technology, for example, a cancer center. When I walked in to the hospital this morning I had no idea what I was in for, no idea what to expect or what I was going to be shooting. All I knew is that my shotlist said “something technical”. Well, here it is, something technical.

I shot this still-life at a lady’s jewelry store. This was the very first shot that I took before she started trying to direct the shoot and as it turns out, the best one. I’m a minimalist and let’s just say she wasn’t.

My brother and a piece of his art in my living room at midnight.

I got this shot of a Black swan at an eco-center about 30 miles away from where I’m staying. I couldn’t have asked for better weather today and the shaded area made it a little easier to do my job. There were about 3000 birds from all seven continents; I stuck around in African trying to get my shot.

This is a shot of Roanoke Rapids Lake Park. I shot it a few times as the sun was starting to set hoping that a boat would come by. Time was running out when my luck turned for the better. I go two shots and the boat was gone – so was the sun.

I got some new gear this week and wanted to put it to the test. The new company requires everything to be shot in RAW format so I figured I better get use to it. E loves Thomas the Train so that was my still-life subject of choice for the test. Here's the set up: a black cloth backdrop, one light to flood the background with a blue gel, one to the left and above with an umbrella, a reflector on the right side, shot it with a 200mm at 250th of a second at 2.8 with an incense on the top for some steam.
